Unable to float mouse over a section of the map and the view moves with it. Screen is frozen in place. Game unplayable without feature.

I play on a PC from Steam. The game no longer comes up in full window but is easy to enlarge. The map still (since the rat clan update) does not scroll when the cursor nears the edges, despite being set to do so. Thank goodness for one person's comment about using arrow keys instead, but it's still awkward and slower.

I cannot scroll from my northgard screen to my second monitor since update, am I doing something wrong here? I've tried enable border scrolling/fullscreen/borderless but nothing allows me to scroll from one monitor to the other unless I have it on windowed, but I don't like to play windowedd.

Yea, this was not fixed/patched. Still an issue.

Allegedly this issue was "fixed" but from multiple attempts to load game after the most recent update (today) - I found no change.
If I can't hover my mouse over a direction of the map and quickly be guided there, the game is too frustrating to play. I can't get to my territories are military units fast enough.

Posting this in a fresh thread bc concerned that comments under "fixed" issues don't get read.

Hi !

After investigating with the dev team, unfortunately our game engine doesn't support borderscrolling on opengl.

This means that it won't work on mac unless you play in mono screen.

Sorry for the inconvenience :(

Borderscrolling works with OpenGL. In fullscreen and in borderless mode.
But in windowed mode borderscrolling does not work. Not with OpenGL. And not with DirectX.
Tested on Windows (DirectX) and Linux (OpenGL).
Game: v3.1.7.32611

There are games allowing border scrolling in windowed mode. On Linux for example "MegaGlest" (free game, OpenGL). So this must be possible in principle. It's hard to imagine the heaps.io engine has no way to do borderscrolling in windowed mode.
Maybe mouse grabbing must be enabled!?
Actually mouse grabbing would improve my experience with my dual monitor setup. So the mouse stays in the game window, except I press ALT-TAB.

Actually another problem is the reason why I use window mode.
--> As said, I have a dual monitor setup. And when I click another window on the second monitor, the game minimizes. That's quite annoying!
Because I like to have an VoIP / VC app open on the second monitor to communicate with friends while being in multiplayer.

Found a solution when running Northgard on Linux:
Simply run it through gamescope.

Most Linux distros since 2023 simple provide gamescope via their package manager.

Then in Steam set Northgards launch options to:
gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -- %command%
(adjust your screen resolution)

I think the Steamdeck maybe already uses gamescope by default.
