Since recent update & Owl DLC game doesn't start anymore
in steamapp Click play - select play DirectX or OpneGL (selection doesn't matter, outcome is the same) - status switches to "Launching" the reverts to "Play" -- trying to start executable (Northgard.exe) from file location in terminal (this used to work as an alternative with earlier issues to start the application) returns: ./Northgard.exe: cannot execute binary file: Exec format error - same for the hl-executable

OGAfter comparing the file-locations on the desktop to the install on the steam deck it seems the update or dlc-download "decided" to kill the linux-subfolder which contains the correct hl-executable on the desktop-install.
Solution:
Right-click Northgard entry in library
Select Properties - Compatibility
Check-mark "Force compatibility....."
Select a "Steam Linux runtime"
This will show an available update for Northgard, downloading that will bring back the linux subfolder.
Check if the game starts correctly.
The Compatibility-Mode can be turned off afterwards.
