cataclysm map - corrupt save + ui messup

kraken conquest; easy; solo; directx; win11
after the volcano strikes, the ui gets messed up with things like numbers (like current wyrd balance) not getting updated or the button to open the build interface disapperaring completly.

(picture shows messed up wyrd+ warband) (map seed of picture:1013913117; game version 3.3,7.35808)

i thought save+reload might fix it but the save created on this map refuses to load (will not go past the the "almost ready" stage)

I can't reproduce it for now, did you load a save or did you start this mission from start ?

this screenshot was from a battle i started from the start. after that glitch triggered, i saved and tried to reload, but the save refused to load, so i eventually dumped the entire conquest (was only second battle) and restarted it

I have also stumbled upon this issue and I do have save files that are bricked by it. Game falls into a loop, time stops flowing and after saving/leaving any save/autosave is bricked - trying to load it results in 50GB+ of RAM being allocated and a freeze.

Please let me know how can I provide the files to you.

This also happened to us during a Hawk + Snake conquest battle. My UI (Hawk) remained good, but my partner's UI broke:
- Availability of fish stayed on a field struck by the vulcano ([house] 0/3 [fish] 0/2 [vulcano)
- Scouting progress circles were nog visible when scouting areas or treasures
- The warband panel in the bottom right does not update, he had military units, but only Signy was visible
- The "Build" button in the bottom right disappeared completely (the menu was still summonable through the shortcut key fortunately)
- Event popups, in this case the Myrkalvar event, don't show at all, but the timer icon does appear on the time line

I have screenshots of all these cases.

Hi everyone! Exact same bug here: kraken + cataclysm. UI is worse in my case, since no info is correct: resources, month, feast status, everything froze. Loading also gets stuck on "Almost ready", and the game crashes with an error about insufficient memory pages (or something similar).

The first one was soon after the the bug started (since I noticed the bug after only a while, I would say no more than a couple of months), and the second one when I started noticing that everything was broken.
