Gods Fury conquest has the events stop occurring after a few years have gone by

The very fast events of this conquest map worked for a while but after we got control of the Barenton Fountain all events stopped appearing. Maybe there were a maximum number of events that could occur in one conquest? The Barenton Fountain event tracker started to go into negatives for when the next event would occur as we got further past the last one that spawned.
We were playing multiplayer conquest.
