Turtle Gift deletes stone

I have 2 caravans in a tile. I started mining stone in a tile with one of them, once I had 8 stone I stopped. Started gifting wood to the kobolds with that same caravan. Second caravan in the tile started mining stone, the stone just disappeared as though it was being traded 100% away even though it wasn't suppose to be traded at all.
