Expeditions greyed out

I noticed after the game hangs once you complete a conquest map. If you wait a bit it will refresh and allow you to continue playing. At this point if you back out of the conquest map. the Expeditions button is greyed out and not accessible. to access it you have to exit game and relaunch it.
