Northgard Freezes / “Northgard.exe not responding” after mission completion (Story Mode)
Description / Steps to reproduce:
Launch Northgard via Steam.
Play Story Mode and complete the mission “Beben” (or relevant chapter).
After winning, click “Continue”.
The screen fades or the interface closes, then Windows popup appears: “Northgard.exe is not responding”.
Game hangs indefinitely unless killed in Task Manager.
Observed behavior:
Game window stops responding; audio may continue.
UI is frozen and cannot continue to next mission.
Manual or autosave sometimes does not register the mission as completed — returning you to previous mission on reload.
Steam cloud save and manual save attempt do not resolve the freeze.
Frequency: After completing this mission/chapter consistently (100% reproducible), not just once.

VortoI've been having the same problem for a few days now. It occurs when I play the Cross of Vidar story on Extreme difficulty and win the mission. After clicking "Continue," the game freezes, crashes, and then crashes completely, forcing me to restart.
