I am experiencing high memory RAM usage and game freezes.

During a multiplayer game with my girlfriend in conquest mode (she's playing as the Snake Clan and I’m playing as the Hippogriff Clan), the game freezes at certain moments. As shown in the screenshot, the computer's RAM consumption increases significantly. Once the game freezes, it doesn't unfreeze; we are forced to close the game and we lose all our progress.
How can I resolve this?
