@Shiro Community Team#2519 unfortunately I must echo a lot of people here that the servers have been crashing for me ever since the update. A frequent error is my game freezes for a brief moment then the entire window shuts down. In such situations I am usually able to rejoin, but sometimes not. Yesterday, I had an error where I could not move any units but I could hear the game progressing through sound cues and notifications that would pop up (people unlocking lores etc.) I tired to restart and I could not rejoin. Disappointing because it was late game in ffa and I was about to attack. I have also seen the unlimited count down clock for lobbies starting and the “connecting to server” issue. Lots to be fixed still. I love the update, but it’s not really playable for me right now.

My friend from Singapore and I use to play northgard just fine until recently. When either one of us try and host a game, the other is stuck in the "waiting for server" screen.

I am experiencing the same thing. The only playable (i.e. not options) menu item that is not greyed out is the story mode.

Same, waiting for the server after when i join or host any MP games. Can't play MP at all. But i played the game earlier and all was fine.

i'm also experiencing the same problem, and some times it allows me to go to multiplayer but, if i try to crate a game or join one , it apears " Error code: Got user (lobby/list(Timeout))" or just dont shows any game

I have the same problem, I've only had access to story mode in the two weeks since I bought the game. The other menu options are greyed out and show 'trying to connect with server, please wait' indefinitely. I've checked my firewall settings, and tried reinstalling, but nothing has worked so far

Ok, I managed to find a workaround - connecting with a VPN lets me play the full game, no greyed out menu

My friend still has this problem. Any solution?
He can only play singleplayer games. No multiplayer and no multiplayer conquest.
When he plays NG, it's not visible in my steam, he's just "online" in my steam.
He has tried reinstalling both NG and Steam.

(Also, when he shuts down NG it keeps running in background. Don't know if that's related)

Just installed the game, I have issues when I want to join multiplayer I can not pick colour or clan and it kicks me out after a few seconds and I am in Northgards start menue again. I shows "Information cannot be retrieved from server. Error code: Got User(null)" My internet connection is ok by the way, what could be the problem then? thank you.

yesterday I played 7 games all were fine exept the last one it kicks me out into main screen again. wasnt able to pick color or clan. Today 2 games were fine, and then the same problem with 2 games in a row. I tried to disable windows defender but nothing changes

just played a game, and after finished it I closed Northgard and steam. Now I want to open it again and there comes and error message that steam cannot synchronize data. I often see this kind of message when I want to join a multigame play. But only if I just had played a game. re-installation of steam and northgard was no successful too.

Note that this only started after the most recent big balance patch. Before that I never had a single issue with multiplayer

The issue seems resolved now (the next day). I'm going to guess it was just server problems due to the discounted price of the game and possible player increase.

Also, Once it fails, the game cannot be seen in the lobby list anymore. so its essentially a phantom game

A bug keeps reoccurring where a player seems to be connected to the game and can send messages in chat and pause the game, but he doesn't receive any information from the server (he doesn't see what he types and such).

Yesterday we were able to play in Conquest mode, today when my husband clicks on joining the game (he is the guest) it just stops the connection and throws him out of the conquest mode. We cannot even start the game. Restarted game, PC, updated Northgard, Steam, we have no more ideas.

A friend of mine is constantly stuck on the loading screen while everyone else is able to play even when she is the one hosting. This was not a problem we had until recently.

I have this problem for years now that my game gets stuck in loading screen and waiting is waiting for the server when i play multiplayer with a friend.

Reinstalling / repairing / starting it on DirextX and the other 2 thinks doesnt work / Tryed to disable Addblocker.

Sometimes it works like 2 days ago i coulda played 1 game i wanted to try it today again and now im sitting here trying the 6th time with a friend and im always stuck in loadingscreen while hes ingame and pauses the game.

Hi there !
My friend and I tried 3 times to play online tonight. After all the players joined, the game was launch and it get stuck to "connexion to server" stage.
Everytime.

We are trying to play just the 2 of us, with IA players, and it's still the same...

It used to work fine, but atm it's impossible to get connected to the server and be able to play...

Does someone have an idea or a fix to that ? Are we the only ones to be stuck ?

Today I have a problem with the Internet connection in the Game. I can't start the multiplayer because the game is not connecting. I have a Win 10 Pc and I play on steam if xou need the information. I tried to start the game with OpenGl and DirectX.

Hello I just bought the game and all of the dlc yesterday 8/8/22 and am not able to play multiplayer without "waiting for server" infinitely and dropping out in the middle of the games I do manage to get into.. are you guys dropping game servers now that the game is older?

Experiencing difficulty connecting in multiplayer and conquest mode, game always says "connecting to server". Sometimes, one of us will be able to enter the game while the other gets stuck on the connection screen. :(

As of 9/11/22 My friends and I recently encountered that northgard servers North America and Europe either shut off or down. We can no longer play together online. Just single player or custom is available. We can play on Asia servers but it is incredibly laggy that we cannot play on it.

I am having the bug where multiplayer mode is greyed out and says "waiting to connect to the internet." It didn't used to have that bug and it's very frustrating.

For a few days now I've been trying to play but everytime I get into a multiplayer match I get a massive delay, packet loss and lag from doing nothing. My internet works perfectly fine as I have 100mb constantly while playing but the game just won't respond. Today I just had the most frustrating thing happen when I joined a match, it took 5 complete minutes to join and when it did I was not able to move my units as they would just stand there unresponsive to my commands, the game was still going because I was able to hear soundcues of things from other players but still I was stuck unable to do anything. First I thought it was a server issue that would quickly get adressed but I realize now that this is not normal at all. Please fix this I just want to play.
