My friend from Singapore and I use to play northgard just fine until recently. When either one of us try and host a game, the other is stuck in the "waiting for server" screen.

i'm also experiencing the same problem, and some times it allows me to go to multiplayer but, if i try to crate a game or join one , it apears " Error code: Got user (lobby/list(Timeout))" or just dont shows any game

I have the same problem, I've only had access to story mode in the two weeks since I bought the game. The other menu options are greyed out and show 'trying to connect with server, please wait' indefinitely. I've checked my firewall settings, and tried reinstalling, but nothing has worked so far

My friend still has this problem. Any solution?
He can only play singleplayer games. No multiplayer and no multiplayer conquest.
When he plays NG, it's not visible in my steam, he's just "online" in my steam.
He has tried reinstalling both NG and Steam.

(Also, when he shuts down NG it keeps running in background. Don't know if that's related)

Just installed the game, I have issues when I want to join multiplayer I can not pick colour or clan and it kicks me out after a few seconds and I am in Northgards start menue again. I shows "Information cannot be retrieved from server. Error code: Got User(null)" My internet connection is ok by the way, what could be the problem then? thank you.

yesterday I played 7 games all were fine exept the last one it kicks me out into main screen again. wasnt able to pick color or clan. Today 2 games were fine, and then the same problem with 2 games in a row. I tried to disable windows defender but nothing changes

just played a game, and after finished it I closed Northgard and steam. Now I want to open it again and there comes and error message that steam cannot synchronize data. I often see this kind of message when I want to join a multigame play. But only if I just had played a game. re-installation of steam and northgard was no successful too.

Note that this only started after the most recent big balance patch. Before that I never had a single issue with multiplayer

The issue seems resolved now (the next day). I'm going to guess it was just server problems due to the discounted price of the game and possible player increase.

A bug keeps reoccurring where a player seems to be connected to the game and can send messages in chat and pause the game, but he doesn't receive any information from the server (he doesn't see what he types and such).

Yesterday we were able to play in Conquest mode, today when my husband clicks on joining the game (he is the guest) it just stops the connection and throws him out of the conquest mode. We cannot even start the game. Restarted game, PC, updated Northgard, Steam, we have no more ideas.

I have this problem for years now that my game gets stuck in loading screen and waiting is waiting for the server when i play multiplayer with a friend.

Reinstalling / repairing / starting it on DirextX and the other 2 thinks doesnt work / Tryed to disable Addblocker.

Sometimes it works like 2 days ago i coulda played 1 game i wanted to try it today again and now im sitting here trying the 6th time with a friend and im always stuck in loadingscreen while hes ingame and pauses the game.

Hi there !
My friend and I tried 3 times to play online tonight. After all the players joined, the game was launch and it get stuck to "connexion to server" stage.
Everytime.

We are trying to play just the 2 of us, with IA players, and it's still the same...

It used to work fine, but atm it's impossible to get connected to the server and be able to play...

Does someone have an idea or a fix to that ? Are we the only ones to be stuck ?

Hello I just bought the game and all of the dlc yesterday 8/8/22 and am not able to play multiplayer without "waiting for server" infinitely and dropping out in the middle of the games I do manage to get into.. are you guys dropping game servers now that the game is older?

Experiencing difficulty connecting in multiplayer and conquest mode, game always says "connecting to server". Sometimes, one of us will be able to enter the game while the other gets stuck on the connection screen. :(

As of 9/11/22 My friends and I recently encountered that northgard servers North America and Europe either shut off or down. We can no longer play together online. Just single player or custom is available. We can play on Asia servers but it is incredibly laggy that we cannot play on it.

For a few days now I've been trying to play but everytime I get into a multiplayer match I get a massive delay, packet loss and lag from doing nothing. My internet works perfectly fine as I have 100mb constantly while playing but the game just won't respond. Today I just had the most frustrating thing happen when I joined a match, it took 5 complete minutes to join and when it did I was not able to move my units as they would just stand there unresponsive to my commands, the game was still going because I was able to hear soundcues of things from other players but still I was stuck unable to do anything. First I thought it was a server issue that would quickly get adressed but I realize now that this is not normal at all. Please fix this I just want to play.

I play on a macbook m1, the problem that the game does not start on Mac Os was recently fixed.
Now the problem is that I can't play the network game, the lion kingdom DLC is not available (I bought it) and it says "no connection".
Started playing and got frustrated right away.

Basically there has been several problems connecting to servers in my recent games causing them to be abandoned. Prior to reporting this problem now it happened in 4 games consecutively. I had to give up trying to play altogether as it was wasting time. Hope this helps.

Good day. I had a problem while playing this game. As soon as I connected to my friend, or he connected to me, the game started to lag horribly and it was impossible to play. We checked all the options and all the possible problems, namely: problems with the Internet of one of the hosts, changing the host to Europe, rebooting the computer, and nothing helped to solve the problem. The multiplayer is taking a long time to enter, I only enter after the other players are already online and playing. When I finally connect to the server I'm suffering immense delays, having to repeat the action several times until it is executed after several minutes.

I have to wait 10 seccond evry time i search for a multipler game with text "No lobby found". And then after game start I stack forever on the loading screen with "Almost Ready" text. Please, do something. I wrote about bug in Steam, but nothing was fixed. You even fixed iron trade, but no connection problem.

4 - This bug has been reproduced for the last few days when attempting to play multiplayer with a friend, follow these steps.
Start multiplayer session, set medium map, allocate 2 AI to separate teams, invite other player. Each player selects their clans and start the game. The game starts, play as usual, build scouting camp, set up lumberjacks, take over another map square or two and build food buildings and allocate villagers. 10 minutes or so into the game, all villagers - specialist or not will start walking in the same place seeming to freeze. Units can no longer be directed but the game continues progressing in terms of seasons and resources continued to accrue or decrease. Only all the characters were stuck in place. All it takes is time and this error is reproduced without fail.

I cant even getting passed the joining the server part, i am trying to play with my friend and, as we are starting, we just get a "connecting to server" on a blackscreen, and it never progresses passed this, no matter how long we leave it, it doesnt seem to matter who hosts either.

Hello i have problem in multiplayer matmaking everytime when i tried to play with friend ranked 3v3 after i click press search i got error , same error have friends when they are leader of group and click press search. Do u have same issue soemone or tell me how to fix it . Sometimes it works when we are not full lobby ( 3 player ) , but sometimes it happen even when i m only with one friend.

there are 4 problems with the lobby:
1. Sometimes an error appears: “no space in the lobby” and redirect you to public lobbies, apparently the problem is that 2 players connect at the same time and a race condition appears in the streams, or the player pool is overflowing (this can also be triggered due to incorrect multi-threaded code).
2. four players on one team, instead of three. Most likely, there is no strict division that if 2 pairs of players are already looking for a game, then the third pair should not fall into this pool, but create a new one.
3. Some players cannot connect to the lobby. Most likely, this situation occurs when players have a poor connection to the server, or if the server is overloaded and cannot accept a request from the player.
4. If someone left the game in the lobby, then next time you will be returned to the same lobby. It’s better not to do this, but it’s worth creating a new lobby without saving the state from the old one.

So yeah... Multiplayer is not existent today evening.
- Massive lag, can't see nothing for 1 minute, everybody throws the towel in.
- Loading screen is at 0% from minutes, nothing happens.
- It doesn't even show the loading screen and crashes.
I'm glad that a lot of things have been announced about the game for this year. However, it is unplayable in its current state. The focus should be on solving these problems. New content always makes the quality of the game worse for a while. Please, pleeeaaase stabilize this game! We love it so much and it's sad to see it come to this point. However, it has so much potential that if it were stable, the player base would only grow continuously.

The server connection is abysmal at the moment, especially regarding Conquest.

Been waiting for a game for almost 5 minutes, with a loop of "14%, 20%, 30% 50%, 70%, 90%, Almost Ready.." then back to "14%.." and so on, which then results in "Failed to connect to game server."

Should the gods allow the game to start, then when playing the game, the game will stall frequently. At this point the villagers are doing the running man in the middle of fields until a minute or two passes, and then the gods allow us to play again for about 5 - 15 minutes before a dance break begins again. While I stay positive and light, the real shame is at this point the game is completely unplayable, which is a massive disappointment.
