FREEZE BUG: Cross of Vidar Mission 5 (Aurelianis)
Hello Devs!
I am reporting this bug in the Cross of Vidar story campaign. Basically, what happened was that the game freezes as the ending cutscene takes place in Mission 5 (Aurelianis). Specifically, it occurs when Liv is about to come ashore and speak with Hildegard. I am playing in a Windows 10 PC and had run the game with DirectX. As for my attempted fixes, I have tried restarting the game multiple times, adjust my graphic settings, and even run the game with OpenGL to no avail.
Hopefully, this gets fixed soon because I would love to continue with the story campaign. It would be a shame if this would stop me and other emerging Northgard players from getting the full storytelling experience, especially when the story is becoming interesting. Anyhow, I am confident that you guys can solve this problem ^_^. I am rooting for you guys!
Looking forward to having more clans, gameplay mechanics, and campaign expansions soon.

Just tried the potential proposed fix by Koaka and it didn't work. Game freezes, makes horrible loud sound and I have to kill it with task manager to end it. Was working on achievements, but I guess I'll skill this mission and move on. -

I finished with the western stone mine incase that makes any difference. -

KoakaNot sure if it's a fix, but deleted all other buildings apart from mine and had 1x miner and Hidlegard in the zone and it didn't crash.

SaraThis is happening to me also. I'm playing through the campaign again on extreme difficulty. This did not happen the first time.

Malhira Mergedhi, guys. When I am playing campaign mode (chapter 5, Cross of Vidar) the game stops responding at the end of the mission. I finish the last title with the stone, that needs to be researched and the game is stuck on a final video. Liv hero comes to inform me about the result and the game is just stuck on that video. WIN 10, playing on DirectX. Tried to load the last save many times, checked files via Steam etc. Nothing helped. It's stuck on the moment on screen shot attached. Save file is not attaching here, only SS.

EmmaThis happened to me me too. Not the first time I completed it, but when I tried to complete it on Hard difficulty. It's so annoying.

KyonidesSame issue here using the last 2 official releases. I had chosen Eitria as my advisor and finished digging all the stone, and watched the scene where both Hidegard and Liv are talking about another sword. Then hitting the Continue button made the game freeze and Windows 10 told me if I wanted to end the task or keep waiting (forever). I downgraded NG to the previous version, and continued playing from the last checkpoint and watched the conversation again only to get the same disastrous result. :(

KyonidesI also want to add here that it also fails on Linux not just on Windows. Besides, there is another bug in this mission, namely the subjects are not being automatically being healed as any Lion subject should in their chapel tile. This happened to me on Linux (Kubuntu 24.04) with uptodate Gog binary. There only 1 out of 3 chapels were healing wounded subjects. The rest of the subjects had to be healed by monks.
