The AI does not know how to play Gardariki Hippogriff clan

Conquest, maybe also Custom Match?
I'm not 100% sure if this is a variation of https://northgard.featureupvote.com/suggestions/605852/enemy-ai-scouts-gets-stuck-preventing-the-ai-from-expanding
In several Conquest missions now I've noticed that a conquest enemy (AI) Gardariki is completely absent during the match.
On the stat screen I can see they have sat in their town hall tile the entire match.
This seems to be despite the tiles next to them having been cleared by them, as far as I can tell.
They end the match at ~200 fame, 2-3 warband, 1 tile owned the entire match.
