On boot up it uses the wrong display

Four out of five times I've started the game it has used my side monitor. This wouldn't be an issue if I could change it, but I can't as it becomes very zoomed in and I can't reach the settings menu. The fix for this is to disconnect my side monitor, so it forces the game onto my main monitor then open the settings their. Then I reconnect the side monitor to move it over to the side with the setting menu up, so I can change my display to my main monitor. Overall, I think that it might just not see my monitor first and use my side monitor, but since my main monitor is 4k it has a much larger resolution, so it in turn zooms in a lot on my 1080p side monitor.
