Conquest endless loading screen (2025)
Hey, Northgard had this problem before, according to bug reports. But apparently, it's bugged its way back into the Definitive Edition.
I was playing normally and then wanted to play the "To much Wyver " Quest where you have to kill three wyvers. But the game just keeps loading endlessly at "Almost Ready."
I've already restarted the game, restarted my PC, and even tried running it as administrator. Verifying the game files in Steam didn't help either.
If the developers are reading this, since this is my first time playing this mode, I wanted to try out the Rave Clan on Normal difficulty. After completing four missions, one mission wouldn't start. No matter which buff I select, the game just keeps loading endlessly.

I'm having the same issue with Raven clan on the second conquest mission, and Horse clan on the final conquest mission. For the first one, it freezes at "almost ready" then eats all my RAM until i either kill it with task mgr or the whole PC crashes. The second one just loops half way through the loading bar over and over again. -

MordakIt happens for me at the third raven conquest. Crash while creating the map with out of memory.

GaborSame issue with the Boar clan. I`m playing conquest. I`m able to do all the maps, except one, the Monuments of the Ancients. It stuck in an endless loading loop.
Tried everything:
- Game file verification
- Reinstalling
- Different graphic settings
- driver updates
nothing :-( -

HHappening with me with the Raven in conquest after the first battle, another thing I figured when you add a shortcut to the Harbor and use it and click in the mini map the game crashes

PriyaSame here. Whole computer freeze at some point and I need to hard reset it.
For me happening now with any Raven Clan conquest. I even started new conquest from scratch (as I got stuck in 6th battle), managed to finish first two missions and then I can't start any other one, it stops at "Almost there" nothing happens and at some point I cant even kill game by stopping it from Steam, nor by task managers because the whole computer just stops working. -

Manevolent MergedIf the seed generates the 'Idavoll' biome it can't spawn Yggdrasil because it's listed in the excluded buildings for that biome. This might also be the case for other biomes.

VirgilSame here in the last battle of Rat, game loads infinitely and goes to a stuck in the end, never finishing it.

soloweyHello. Me and my wife were played conquest by the goat clan (host) and the dragon clan. We managed to complete 10 out of 11 missions. However, the "Sword of Odin" mission was not launched. We tried to start it more than 10 times. I even deleted the game and cache, and then tried to start the mission. In addition, at the end of the conquest, I had achievements, and my wife did not have any. Although before that, when we played in pairs, she received the achievements of her clan, despite the fact that I was the host.

NyKo MergedYggdrasil is excluded from Idavoll but on conquest some missions such as "Far from the Eye" or "Race to Yggdrasil" are still seeded with Idavoll.
The problem is that for these missions, Yggdrasil is not generated and then the mission, the seed and the conquest are impossible to finish (worse case is with Eagle since Far from the Eye is mandatory).
Some tickets are already on the forum but marked as solved. It's not the case, the bug is still here (on 12th January 2026).
Some other people had same problem on discord and best was to create new ticket. -

Not the same issue and isn't any kind of infinite loading screen. For Far from the Eye and Race to Yggdrasil, the game is generated and launched but w/o Yggdrasil on Idavoll seeds. Player can play the map but w/o any wining condition he can achieve since the tile isn't here. -

PaoloThis has so far happened to me on 5 conquest attempts on Snake and Raven (hardest difficulty).
A few things to note:
1. Often (but not always) the game crashes at the point of mission completion, just as the objectives are fulfilled and before the Mission Complete menu appears. I hear the mission completion sound, then crash.
2. After the crash, I get endless freezing on "almost ready" during the loading screen. Doesn't matter what I do, I can't continue that game in the conquest.
3. I attempt to start other missions within the same conquest and most/all get stuck in "almost ready".
4. My PC's memory usage goes way up when the game freezes -

PaoloNote the crashing on mission completion still persists after patch v4.0.14.43224 on 14/1/2026. However, it no longer seems to freeze on "almost ready"

NeilYeah the game keeps crashing in the middle of various conquests. Not sure how to play it.
