Northgard freeze
Game causes screens to freeze at random moments. Audio from the game and other apps still can be heard, but you can't do anything in Windows. The only way to solve this is reseting your PC.

BrandonScreen Freezes Up. can only upload a previous saved version. Doesn't matter if you reboot the computer. When trying to load a saved version of the freeze, it initially shows a completely dark screen. Press ESC to get rid of black screen. Although game continues to play, nothing moves on screen. Cursor is frozen as well. Can pull up menu, but returning the game results in same freeze. Using ASUS laptop. Windows 11. Single Player. I have no control over creating the bug, but 90% of all games eventually result in a freeze. The Game Seed is 1980175981. Version 3.2.3.34113 Map size Huge. Where do I upload a save file?

OlorinPlaying single player (Win 10, DirectX) during every game at some random moment the game freezes. If I try a saved game, it works and then freezes at a new point, but quickly. Build ending in 169, Map Large. DAT game files are 40MB, so couldn't email them. Seed 588227193.

markfreezing here too...last 3 games. tried unintsall/reinstall but same freeze
solo - w10 - directx - always happens mid to late mid game when a new territory the timer on a newly occupied territory is runs out -

4. Yes, whenever i reload my saved game of single player. Loads to a black screen. When i hit ESC twice it will show the map but paused/frozen. If i keep hitting ESC repeatedly it almost plays as it should but immediately freezes when the game is resumed.

goatcideyeah, corrupts saves into this state too if saved after it's happened. tried save on two different computers, both launch options

4. happens after a certain point while playing eagles (easy) conquest, foxholes scenario. usually goat clan losing a tile. can save up to it, and going back to them works until tile change happens again and it breaks.

7. two different tests, both triggered on goat clan losing control of either tile, saves of both just before tile attack/loss, and after/corrupted.

Yesterday i tried a new clan of owl
SP game, 3v3
dont remember clans ... i think its
owl+lion +dragon VS goat+ horse + stag
everyting went well
till i got enought gold army and suplies to get rid of the enemy with a new unit Guardian of the Realm
i defended teamate ai player
and right after that i went to attack an enemy
the battle was fine ,
but right when i decolonize enemy 1st zone it freeze
!!!! reposted bcs it was not MP game !!! -

Source EnjoyerThis kind of "Freezing Crash" has been plaguing me for a couple years at this point. I'm on AMD hardware (both GPU and CPU) but from what I've read this issue seems to be happening to some NVIDIA users as well. Happens whether i'm Solo or Co-op for both conquest and normal games. It occurs on both the opengl and directx versions of the game. I've tried enabling/disabling various settings as well with no luck. Honestly at this point I'm likely going to give up on the game completely. I can find so many posts/forum threads talking about this issue over the past few years but you guys still haven't fixed it? It's even one of the more upvoted topics on this very website... get it together Shiro. You need to work on fixing your game instead of another paid DLC.

The game freezes after I finish my mission: Filmvinter (story mode), single player, Bear clan, difficulty - hard. The screen freezes after I push the "victory" button (6 times).
I tried: restarting computer, another save slot, reinstalling the game, updating GeForce, checking files integrity in Steam. -

LufiaI noticed my game freezes at the victory/defeat screen of any map, or game mode. if I leave it alone it unfreezes but it takes about 20 minutes on average. you get no audio, and if you click the screen it says northgard is not responding. if you choose to wait everything comes back and you can continue playing. I think it has to do with the most recent patch? Good luck Devs. I do think it would be nice to have an error code pop up so we can help you isolate the issue.

ThaurusHello, since the last patch.My games freeze. I have a bug on the end of battle screen, victory or defeat. It loads for a moment then it says Northgard is not responding. Closing the game and reopening it is the only solution.

I'd say that the freeze not only happens while playing on the map. If you try to save your game or open the treasures or the expeditions, the screen freezes for several seconds, making you think that you should kill the app. Normally, everything works normally if it is your second or nth time opening any of those menus. -

StefanCristianIt freezes on Linux (on Steam) in Conquest mode after full reveal of map, in a free for all match.
It's not a complete freeze, it's a temporary freeze whenever i hover over my army. -

RathwirtThis graphics freeze happens the most for me during conquest games when mercenary ships land on AI territory. The invasion horn happens, continues endlessly while the screen freezes, and then you're stuck unless you can win the game without moving anything. When I know a lot of invasions are going to be coming from having to go back and reload an earlier save, I have to keep reloading that save to make sure they land in my territory instead or the game will freeze permanently.

PrinceLiveThe game constantly freezes every 2 minutes, and after the freeze, everything starts working again, but the error occurs again. I don't know what you've done to the game, but I won't play it until you fix it. I can't imagine how you could mess up the game's code like this, and it's a shame that a good game has been buried alive, and the game's small community will be lost.
