AI getting stuck
As game progresses, the computer AI fighters get stuck in other zones and offer no resistance at all. They will not move to attack you even as you occupy and destroy all of their surrounding zones. This is relatively new behavior and makes single player custom games no fun at all.

Had this problem as well, every single match since december I think. Combined with the bug where ALL units randomly freeze forever late game makes this game almost unplayble. Last major uodate (owl clan) really broke a lot -

Dedehappened to me in Conquest mission just now, but there's something else I noticed: when looking at the list of clans in the upper left corner, the clan that "froze" is greyed out, as if not discovered yet. In my case it was a red Snake faction, it was red before, now it's greyed out.

Dedeupdate: when I reloaded the game, the snake clan's name was red again. Still stuck though. The AI did try to recolonise lost zones, but no longer used its military units.
I also noticed that when it happens the enemy units are always on a border between zones. That's where they get stuck.
Frequency: happens about every other conquest mission to one of the clans. -

DavidSomething similar happens to me where the AI does not know how to get back.
What I noticed:
The AI will either attack or simply move across the map. If I put my units in zones that would require them to attack me on the way back to their zones, the AI will instead just stay stuck in that zone, and it is almost like taking all their military units out of the game. I can even do this with a single unit. They will happily sit there without attacking the entire game even if I go attack them. The AI units behave as if they are stuck. -

KyonidesEven after September's patch, I do notice how AI underperforms badly in solo games. A year ago, Kraken would pose a mildly serious threat, but now that's only the case in hard or extreme mode upto a certain point. After year 3+, you can go exterminate its units with ease. Raven was 1 of the last decent clans that did a decent job at building an economy and attacking its enemies. Yet, now it can even get stuck for a while before sending some forces to enemy territory once again. The cycles keeps repeating itself. Pretty much all clans are afraid of conquering or clearing all adjacent tiles if even a single neutral is waiting for them there. It doesn't matter if it's a wolf or a fox, they won't kill them. This provokes the neutral unit to keep attacking the owned tiles, making it even harder for the clans to dispatch military units to other places. Hippogriff is one of the worst cases, it only produces sentries, the weakest unit of all the kingdoms even if you pick hard or extreme mode.

VenBeen experiencing similar behaviors of AI being "indecisive." Where they'll stutter back-and in moving their units in and out of a contested zone.

Drauger contested one of Rat's tiles and lost all of their military beforehand. Villagers would queue in and out while being hit by a single Drauger and eventually all die.
